TRAVEL INFOMATION
Making arrangements for a trip to Bhutan is a little different from traveling to other countries. In order to get a visa your trip must be prepaid,
including the Druk Air tickets, through a Bhutanese-licensed travel agency. The exact timing of your trip will depend on the availability of flights. Druk Air, the airline that flies into Bhutan, has only two Airbus A-319s
that fly from Delhi and Kathmandu on Mondays and Thursdays and Bangkok and Calcutta on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Read more...

ABOUT BHUTAN
Bhutan, or "Druk Yul," means Land of the Thunder Dragon. It is a speck on the map bordered by Tibet (China)
in the north and India in the south, east and west. The land area covers 38,394 square kilometers - comparable to Switzerland (about half the size of the State of Indiana in the U. S.).
Although small in size, Bhutan is rich in terms of culture and bio-diversity.
It has often been referred to as the "world's last Shangri-La" because of its remotness.
